Dear Applicant,

Thank you for your interest in the 2008 Scholarship Program at Hanmee Presbyterian Church in Itasca, Illinois. 

Hanmee Presbyterian Church established the Scholarship Program to promote and recognize Christian leadership and academic achievements among Korean-American Christian students in Illinois. Qualifications will be: 

1. Baptized member of a church recognized by PCUSA (Presbyterian Churches of USA) or a church considered to believe in the doctrines similar to those of Hanmee Presbyterian Church.

2. Full time undergraduate or graduate student at a fully accredited 2-year junior college, 4-year     college or university in the fall of 2008.

3. Age limit: Applicant must be less than 35 years of age by the application deadline (7/18/2008).

4. Must demonstrate financial need.

5. Two letters of recommendation from individuals in a leadership/mentor role. (i.e., professor, pastor, etc)

6. Illinois resident for the last 2 years.

There will be 5 scholarship awards with each award of $1,000.   The scholarship will be awarded on August 3 during Sunday service.
